The horror! ARGH!

Went to put stuff in dishwasher. ARGH! The horror!

I really need to give seminars on dishwasher packing, or something. One thing that is not wonderful is if plates are jammed in everywhichway, creating a space-wasting tangle, instead of in orderly rows, where you can put in more stuff and therefore save energy washing.

Seriously, the bottom rack of the dishwasher was full when I looked at it. I rearranged it, and it was only 1/3 full, and 2/3 empty. It looked like a practical joke on me, but I fear it wasn't...

Heh. So been there.

Whenever my Mom gives a party, or even a dinner, she calls me over to work the kitchen: I appear to be much more efficient in loading the dishwasher than the regular inhabitants of the house.

And don't get me started about the dishwasher in the break room at the office...

Argh! Yes, a pet peeve of mine, especially as we're on a well and septic here - we need to keep water usage down. Unfortunately, my sister/roommate either jumbles things so space is wasted, or packs them so tight that things won't get clean.

And a little extra room between fitted bowls, so the entire bowl gets washed; plus, one or two small items can be placed under large bowls on the top shelf, but only one or two small items.

Oh. Well, see, I like to live a little dangerously... ;)

Know what I hate? I hate when there's one more thing than will fit in the dishwasher. No matter how you arrange stuff. And it's like "I want the dishes to be DONE. NOW."

Especially when the thing is something that is difficult or impossible to wash by hand due to having lots of little shallow grooves.
