Happydances

I've noticed that, of late, I've been saying, "*does the ___ happydance*" a lot.

Or, if it's not a happydance, just a dance.

That being said, I will proceed to do the *Photos! Yay!* dance. (That is to say, among other things, that I'm going to be putting the photos of Marah up on Petridish soon...)

*does the '22 is a wonderful number' dance*

Let us not forget boogie. For instance, the "Yay! Photos Boogie" . . .

. . . and . . . if the occasion warrants . . . the "butt wiggle"

And I think we all know that no dance trumps the Snoopy Dance.

Uh. . .

That's sarcasm . . . right?

It's the dance Snoopy has been known to do on Shrodinger's (sp?) piano on the Charlie Brown Christmas Special, as well as other choice places. It many involves him thumping his feet up and down and a rapid pace (sort of like "Beagle Riverdance") while displaying an expression of pure rapture on his face.

I acutally found a page that displays it here as well as playing the music he typically dances to. The Snoopy Dance is often referenced because Xander Harris once did it on the Buffy: the Vampire Slayer television show to prove his identity. And, actually, that plotline was developed as early as the second season of that show:

Willow: [Nailing crosses around her doors] I'm going to have a hard time explaining this to my dad.
Buffy: You really think this'll bother him?
Willow: Ira Rosenberg's only daughter nailing crucifixes to her bedroom wall? I have to go to Xander's house just to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas every year.
Buffy: Yeah, I see your point.
Willow: Although it is worthwhile just to see Xander do the Snoopy dance.

Okay, that should be a sufficiently exhausive answer. Now if I can just figure out how to click on that "post" button . . .

I seem to recall that the "Snoopy dance" is very much in evidence in the printed comic, as well. Perhaps it is not immediately identifiable as a dance, though; more like random dust-raising stomping. But a regular phenomenon.

it's the little things

it's the little things in life that keep us going...and if it's a happy dance, then let it be!

I think it's almost worth it just to know that you made some people smile (and or get a little uncomfortable)
