"Checking things out," she said.

That was because my voice, despite attempts to keep it steady, went up an octave.

He's never in his office.

I don't know if he's going to sign up if a recruiter's in there, or if he's just going to get information and say, "Whatever."

If he's just going to be getting info, then he's wasting his time there, and evidently he wastes a lot of time there. So I don't want him to waste his time, but I don't want him in there either...
