That configured his Open Look desktop with that that general color scheme. Though I think he used a brighter shade of pink. He said it was to keep him awake.. I now believe he was color blind and liked torturing all us 'normals.' ;)
Reminds me of a Powerpoint presentation my team did toward the end of a truly annoying project. The final presentation was fine, but the rough draft we presented to our teacher had the first slide set to Powerpoint's baseball-fade[1]. In purple and green.

When I was up late at night typing on my novel, I used to set the color scheme of the computer to something I fondly called "Very Pink".
And it was.
It would have made Barbie puke.
Something that's appalling in the light of day is very soothing and restful at night...
