Whee, new LMB stuff!

Lois McMaster Bujold is one of my favorite authors, up there with Diane Duane and C.J. Cherryh.

Bujold knocks Weber's socks clean out of the water. In my not-so-humble opinion.

I've read almost everything Weber put out, and about a quarter of Bujold's stuff. I'm wasn't trying to say you'd like Weber better . . . I was just makin' a suggestion since Bujold can only put out a finite amount of material in a year . . . need some other folks to carry the torch and fill the gaps, ne?

I do like Bujold, but I like Weber a more. Mostly because I really like reading about the Napoleonic Wars. I was able to hook my buddy in Cali who was a Bujold fan into an equally big raving Weber fan.

We get into holy wars about Bujold vs. Weber sometimes, to the point where Weber's name is bleeped out like yea: W*b*r, and also H*rr*ngt*n.

We are fucking insane, yes.

I survive. Quite a bit, because of LJ and all those good books in the library that I haven't read yet.

Whoa. I don't think I would ever get into a holy war about two author who are published by the same company. I'm willing to read almost anything put out by Baen.

I also take it, then, that if you're such a big fan of Bujold you have already seen this, ne?

I've seen some of the items; some of them were designed onlist, with feedback from us all. [livejournal.com profile] lmbujold is the LJ counterpart of "the List" that I keep talking about.

I have an ImpSec bumper sticker... I do want a pair of silver eyes, though.

(And my best friend might as well be Illyan, except he has a penchant for gaming, and a worse memory.)
