The Oppressed Slasher's Revenge

Somewhere, out there, on some obscure website
There is some fanfic to keep Dad up all night
Somewhere out there beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of me and loving me tonight

Somewhere out there, someone's written a pair
Somewhere out there someone's saying a prayer
And Dad will find it someday, in that big somewhere out there
That we'll find one another in that big somewhere out there

And even though that fandom is so dead-and-gone and rot
And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think some slasher picked up on that slash sub plot
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star

And when Dad finds my slash and yells that I am going to hell,
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think his precious characters are doing so as well!
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky

Somewhere out there, if Google guides me true
Somewhere out there if love can see us through
