And I said that the relationship was unlikely to progress.
And someone told me to give him a chance, with the underlying implication that I was too hung up elsewhere to have done so.
And I knew my own senses, and trusted their word above my senses.
At least all worked out well.

Be very, very happy that it did, darlin'. The one time I did that turned out to be the only BAD breakup I've ever had, in my entire history of relationships.

Hell, even the time I ran into Martin with a guy wasn't nearly that bad -- we at least managed to be friends afterward (after I got my rant out for him not just *asking* me to be his heterosexual cover instead of pretending to really be my boyfriend).
