Email post details

Details on the email post feature. I'm under the impression it's paid. w00t. I love my permanent account. I tested it and it works -- however, I cannot do that which I just did, the two dashes -- that's the "ignore everything after this point" signal.

Small price to pay for nifty.

No, you can do two dashes -- you can't do two dashes alone on a line:
--
That's the 'truncate here' mark - which has been a standard for email and news for a long time, they just adopted it. (Actually the official standard is '-- ' - two dashes followed by a space alone on one line.

I use '-- '... I wonder if LJ would cut my signature off correctly...

Yep. Already tried it myself.

Cool.

Now I just need a reason to post via email...

Well, while it has geek-cred, it's not that useful if you can hit the LJ website or use an actual client... since they have more functionality.

Now, if I could figure out how to make my cellphone send email...

I used web updating the entire time I was in Texas...

Probably easier than handling logging in and out of clients for multiple users.

(Dunno how that ended up as anonymous - could you delete it, Azz? :o) )

Other than the one time I used Netscape, we had no problems.

Netscape is both evil and stupid.

Mistress used Netscape, and I used IE. Worked out just fine.

I've got an option, Send Messages As, that has E-mail as an alternative. Now, I only need to find out my phone's e-mail addy. (The site of the company is remarkably unhelpful.)

Yeah, I have that option too, but if I send a message to an email address it fails to send.

If you want to find out your phones address, you could just send a message to your normal email address...

I tried to, and it asked me for a phone number.
Bugger.

I really, really dislike that web page.
