Went to bank en masse. Went to mall for movie-age. Wandered about recklessly/aimlessly, impeded by my walking speed (close to zero), and made the movie on time. It was Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, and as anticipated, Little Fayoumis loved it.

I must say that I both do and don't see what all the fuss is about over Jack. He has Attitude, he has flair ... and it does very little for me. Maybe I'd be more ga-ga over him had 50 zillion other women not fallen all over him first.

I didn't even particularly like the movie until the second time I saw it.

Which begs the question, why did I go see it a second time, but oh well.

I also have to beg to differ with the people who say Orlando Bloom was hotter in Pirates than in LOTR. I really like the interaction between Depp and Bloom, they did a good job with that, but Will is a character who thinks he's more awesome than he really is, and I prefer Legolas, whom Bloom seems to play as not particularly noticing he's awesome, because he's still a frosh by Elven standards.

I liked the movie, in sort of a campy way. It just called out for slash...

Jack/Norrington, maybe. I just didn't get the Jack/Will slash at all.
