Yesterday morning, votania started B, and it was complaining about being started, and very cranky until we got to the first stoplight.

votania was wondering what was wrong.

I told her that it was, of course, the fact that it was cold out. I pointed out the thermometer gauge, which was between the first two tick-marks.

These things that Arizona people don't usually think about, eh?

Did you name Little Fayoumis after a Peter Gabriel song?

No. It's sort of a family in-joke -- Egyptian Fayoumis is the breed name of the sort of chicken that's in my userpic right there, and we had some when I was a kid. And somehow, it got so that we were discussing other kids at my school in terms of whether or not they were a Good Little Fayoumis.

Little Fayoumis is just as squirrelly as the birds he was nicknamed for, so it fits.

votania calls them "chaos chickens".
