Either specify both the background color AND the font color, or specify neither of them.

Specifying one and assuming that everyone is going to have a light background and a dark text, or assuming that everyone is going to have a dark background and a light text may work in some environments where that is true, but won't work well on LJ.

yeah, I find that really annoying as a rule. I mean, really. The nerve of these people! You know that old saw, "don't assume, 'cos it makes an ass out of you and me?" I never got that until the other day, when someone pointed out that the last three letters of "assume" were u, m, e. I always thought they were o, o, m. But when that someone explained things to me, it was light a light went on over my head, you know? Anyway. Where was I? My feet are cold. Don't you hate that? You're sitting around, and the rest of your body is at a comfortable temperature, but your feet are like ice. especially your toes. Man, I hate that! Now what's really bad is when you're in bed with a girl, and she has a cold ass. My ex-girlfriend Rachael had a cold ass, and she positively delighted in pressing it up against me. She was evil that way. She was evil in some other ways, too, and in general was a bit too much drama for me to deal with, so I guess it's a good thing that we aren't still together. I still think about her from time to time, is that wierd? I don't think so, but you can never tell what other people think. Anyway, back to what I was saying, my feet are cold. I should put on some slippers, but then my feet will overheat. I hate that almost as much as I hate my feet being cold. Maybe I should go put on some socks.
