The Computers:


Tigereye: my beloved laptop, a May 2000 Dell Latitude. Much-abused, and more of a desktop than a laptop.

Acknar: marxdarx's current computer.

Neo: A venerable Compaq Deskpro, with a Pentium II, running Red Hat. Has a bad NIC at the moment.

Sonofabitch: Near-twin to Neo, gotten from the DeVry technology yard sale just prior to the 2003 $WINTERHOLIDAY season. Technically votania's. Currently lacks OS entirely, due to being a sonofabitch.

40: The mythical desktop for Little Fayoumis that digitalambience is going to drop off here at some point.

Ishtar: marxdarx's Handspring Visor Neo.

Updates: Neo's XP now, Sonofabitch is renamed Lord Mark after we found out what his issues were, 40's still in the aether, Ishtar's probably around somewhere, Inanna hasn't been resurrected yet, and AzureBlue is my new Palm Vx.

Neo was renamed Mitch.
I got a new laptop, Thalia.

Computers of the Asylum, and other tech specs and equipment

Thalia: My laptop, named for the Muse of Comedy. Dell Inspiron 1000, 40gig HD, on her 2nd HD.

hcolleen's desktop. Frankenbox; she built most of it herself or has replaced most of it herself.

hcolleen's old and cranky laptop, originally from myrrhianna. Dell Gawdawful.

Allegra: Tiny sub-notebook, used in times of travel and computer crisis. Originally owned by dduane. Acer.

Tigereye: My old laptop, currently in a state of transition between one shell and another. Not at all reliable at the moment. (Dell Latitude cpt.)

Mnemosyne: A portable hard drive, put together from the spare laptop hard drive I bought during the Great Thalia Disk Crash and subsequent BOfD problems. Also, the mythical big motha' computer I'm plotting to put together to serve as a desktop system, so I can have the laptop more often mobile.

That Damn Thing: wireless router, which came with Thalia. (Dell.)

The cable modem.

ISP: Cox. (I get far too much glee from saying the name of our ISP.)
