phx_devry's first Gay Student Union. Fabulous. Naturally redheaded, goes blond. British, with some variation on that delightful upper-crust English accent. Flaming. Hunky. ACCT. Gamer.
Aaron: Mr. Pres's roommate. EET. Gamer. Not quite so flaming. Given to dreadful plaid.
Lord Mark: Gamer. Resembles the Bujold character of the same name, but with glasses. CIS. Friends with Mr. Pres and Aaron.
A married gamer couple: Friends with the above gang, in the GSU and Procrastinating Gamers Anonymous.

whatsuphx18: Also in the GSU. Don't see him much.
Irving: A delightful young man in my class group (Summer/Fall 2003). Reads fantasy avidly. Also LDS. Has a delightful sense of humor.
Server Admin Group: Irving, Melissa, Zoila, me: Fall 2003.
yaksha42: Tolkien geek, works night shift on the downstairs lab. A neighbor.
Baronness Babble: The ADHD redhead in the class group that I just fell behind, who's old enough to be my mother. Delightful lady. Lots of fun.
Bald Guy: Knowsdigitalambience. Formerly the morning cafeteria cashier. Used to talk gaming with Darkside. Serious Heavy Obnoxious Gamer Alert! In the EET program. Friends with reichiere. Was in a close encounter with a truck, and finally came back to school in November 2003.
Staff:
Bruyn: An old hacker, a *nix man, a database guru. My father's generation. Teaches databases and Server Admin (Fall 2003).
Burns: Another old database man, more dapper than Bruyn. Team-taught the Database Admin course with Bruyn (Summer 2003).
Schlosser: From the Career Services department. Sweet. Teaches Career Development (Fall 2003).
Sherwood: Has been around forever. 80-something. Is starting to lose track of things, but remembers history excellently. Teaches History. (Fall 2003). Profane.
cRon: A real character. The best CIS professor in the building. A real programmer who happens to teach, rather than a teacher who happens to teach programming. Better known as Einstein-Newton, seen at Ren Faires around Arizona. An awesome guy with a delightfully caustic sense of humor. He shows up early in the mornings in the cafeteria, which used to mean that he spent time with Darkside and me when we were there early.
Demland, Analysis Dave: Teaching the Systems Analysis course. Has actually worked in the industry. Not known for censoring himself when talking about the industry.
"Double" McGuirk: The very nice Web Dev teacher, who repeats the last bits of everything she says. The last bits of everything she says.
Barden: Usually an accounting teacher, a former manager, now teaching Management.
Mrs. Byer: The teacher so new that she was late to her first class because she was handing in her contract. Has experience at other colleges. My closest friend in the class. I had her, um, 6th tri?
Benes, the Joking Okie: An Object Oriented professor who likes Java and has a penchant for really bad jokes.
Ashford: A speech teacher, with a keen perception for stereotypes.
Bird: The popular science teacher who also is a hypnotist.
Van Zwol: The most interesting Economics teacher, a guy who comes off as a complete jerk mostly because he acts like one. Secretly, he seems to care about his students. I had him in my 4th tri. He was bumped up to Dean.
Erbe: The evil Statistics teacher who displays little to no respect for his students. Comes off as a complete jerk with occasional pauses for sanity when he's talking about business math, which he actually likes and excels at. I had him 2nd tri withvotania. Darkside had him for Stats, and that was the class that the brawl featuring Shrimpy broke out.
Former Schoolmates
Darkside: Graduated October 25, 2002. I gave him a rose, he hit me over the head with the rose. My best friend.
Dawn: Graduated with Darkside. CIS. Another good friend.
ralmathon: Graduated with Dawn and Darkside. CIS. Good friend. Gamer.
Skippy: Not the Skippy of Skippy's List, but ex-military, a gamer and friend ofralmathon, and a nice guy all-around. Graduated -- I think June 2003.
evealone: Was a CIS freshman until he moved back home to Arkansas. Interesting guy. Evil and stuff. Sometimes.
Bambi: A classmate, CIS. Redheaded, female, has attitude. Ex-Army. About my age.
Bob: A classmate from 5CDA, a long-haired white guy who likes to tie hemp and happens to be Rastafarian, which really screwed with Ashford's head.
The Lovebirds: Two of my classmates, engaged to each other, rarely seen apart. Femmebird and Mellebird.
Slackerprep: BIS major. Was in a working group with him my first tri. Really irritating. Major prep, major slacker. Ex-military of some flavor. Egotistical. Has been popping in and out of school for some time. Touches me. Eeew.
Shrimpy: Formerly a guy from Darkside's class group. He graduated in June 2002. One of the least clueful people on the planet. Shares Darkside's given name. Very annoying, with few social skills, and cluefulness points of -2 -1d20.
Dude: A former roommate, from June 2001 to mid-September 2001. CIS, while he was attending DeVry. He and Chick are now the parents of a darling boy, born 13 Oct 2002.
