As always, Lois McMaster Bujold (

lmbujold) coined the phrase "a metaphor gone metastatic" in A Civil Campaign, in the musings of a man with multiple personalities.

More recently (tonight, in fact),

agent139 provoked what would have been a major soda-spew, had only my mouth been armed, by writing:

my hip-hop saying for the evening:

keep'n it theoretical.

(as opposed to keep'n it real. i drop idealist metaphysics non-stop, yeaaah.)

That makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, y'know?
