Is this an authorized adaptation (like the Star Wars manga) or is it just doujin? If they release this English I'll definitely have to lay my hands upon it.

It isn't manga. It's the covers of the Japanese-language editions of the novels.

I'd be over the moon if I could find Honor Harrington doujinshi but I haven't seen any Japanese fanart sites, much less any hint of doujinshi.

(Laugh) I've often thought the "Honor Harrington" series would translate well to Anime. However, the cover artist messed up on the colour of RMN uniforms. Never mind "Hello Treekitty" :-)
