I am... lessened.

I have been using hairspray for the past few days. This is to keep the flyaway strands of hair under control when I have my hair in a ponytail or braided.

This is scaring me.

Consider it a matter of keeping annoying hair out of face.

My hair weighs a ton. I have to use hairspray just to keep parts of it UP, especially if I'm getting a curling iron anywhere near it. It's almost comical. I wind it up in the curling iron, it holds a perfect spiral curl and... *poof* ...it's gone. Just like Keyser Soze.

According to TBD, I have unmessable hair. "Wild woman hair." But it can look really good in the front and be *really* snarled up in the back. I consider myself a person is not particularly vain (little good it would do me) or narcissistic, but I have to spend about an hour on my hair a day just to bring it up to the status quo. If I think of wearing a hooded sweatshirt, it gets all tangled and messy looking, but I refuse to sink the money into having a full hair regimen. I'd rather go with my current tried-and-true -- leaving the heavy-duty conditioner on it for 10 minutes in the shower, combing it all out while the conditioner is still in (it can't be combed or brushed later otherwise) and then hosing it down with a fourth of a bottle of Infusium 23. It's just that bad.

Definitely not. It doesn't help that there's about five lbs. of it, too. It's much longer than this now, but...

...that's ALWAYS how thick it is. I'm sure if I had a 3-member team of stylists, it would look absolutely great, but whose wouldn't?

My former boss (she of the perpetual perm) asked why I even bothered with a curling iron and I said, "I just want all the curls to go the same way!" {grin} They never do.

I walk into a room and people think, "Where is there a wind tunnel around here?" And there's no hair clip on the market big enough to restrain it. There for awhile I had a good thing going with these big claw things that are flat on the bottom and curved on the top. I would use two, interlocking the teeth so that one kept the other in. One day I was out walking and -- snap! -- one shattered and took the other with it.
