Removing the Evil

Need to go do research on whatever the fuck bit of evil adware type thing it is that is transmitted via AIM, because I may well have it. Gods damn it.

I've had very good luck removing adware and spyware by using a one-two punch of SpyBot Search & Destroy and AdAware. That's what we use internally in my department at work. Customer desktops we just re-image. I work in a banking environment, so we don't take any chances.

I already had AdAware, and thank you for the other recommendation! I've got that one now, and I'm definitely impressed.

Thank you for the link. Search & Destroy cleared out a lot of interesting things, and I happily don't have those ad pages popping up anymore.
