Sadly, though, bisexuals have very little part in the Cunning Plan. (And it isn't likely to result in children the way that Orson Scott Card envisions marriages between opposite-sex sexually incompatible people will, so Card's sincerely out of luck.)

As I told the lad, a bloody brilliant idea. Thank you for passing this on. I know this poly, kinky, het would sign up in a heart-beat. And who says it wouldn't result in children in some cases?

I know a woman who was married to a gay man once, though without the knowledge that it was in name only and with the expectation of a normal heterosexual sex life. They were absolutely brilliantly miserable, and while they're still the best of friends, she wouldn't voluntarily be a party to putting another woman through the same thing.

However, a large part of their misery was the expectation of the normal heterosexual sex life. They probably would have been very happy platonic roommates.
