Usually, I'm *too* interesting for the survey people. I always feel like telling them "sure, you can survey me, but you'll probably have to throw away the data point for being an outlier!"

But unless there are a certain number of outliers to start with, the data looks like it's been mangled, because nature has outliers and manufactured data doesn't!

I still imagine the survey people being all like "Must be polite... wasting my time... going to have to remove this datapoint... too late to stop.... argh!" *ggl*

Depends on the survey... and when there start being patterns in the outliers, there's probably attention paid there too. Like, you, rainstorm13, and shywickedpixie are all the same kind of outlier!
