Invisible Friends progress

Little Fayoumis has only one of his invisible friends anymore, it seems: Sim, the robot. Both the Colshins seem to have disappeared. Sim only shows up occasionally. Little Fayoumis does talk about "his spyhunter" (which is in some way connected to the father archetype) but mostly he plays by himself these days, or with characters from the fictons of others. (Finding Nemo, Scooby-Doo, Star Wars, and occasionally others.)

Emmy used to have "the guys". They eventually disappeared en mass. It's sort of sad when they're gone.

swallowtayle and I had the fairies. Then, well after they disappeared, Shanna showed up, but that was a whole different bag of rocks.

Are any of Little Fayoumis invisible friends identifiable entities? I always wonder this, especially since I know for certain that both myself and one of my sisters had "invisible" friends who were actually ghosts, and my oldest son, Christian, had a dozen invisible friends - some of whom I could see, some I could sense the presence of, and some I have no idea if they really existed or not.

None of the rest of my kids have developed the concept of invisible friends, it seems...but then, they've always had a surplus of siblings to play with; Christian didn't, when he was little (though his friends stuck around long after the siblings showed up, too.) Though it is known that Grace can see ghosts, she doesn't usually realize she's seeing things nobody else can, and she sometimes forgets that she saw them. Josiah saw Christian and Rose after they died, but I know not whether he's ever seen any others - and C&R were there deliberately, and made themselves seen.

Little Fayoumis can see things that are there, but since I'm not the best at seeing things that are there that I don't know are already there unless I'm looking, I haven't the foggiest whether any of them are actually there to anyone but him.

As I'm highly sensitive to this, it looks to me like the proto-multiplicity that I suspect most kids go through and grow out of unless they've got some reason for it to stick.
