Suggestion: for many such things, some measure of how much you care about them would be useful. (For example, there is a relevant difference for potential roommates between someone with strong feelings on the position of the trinary operator and someone who leaves it one way by default when living alone, but will adjust habits if roommates care.)

Very useful indeed. And also level of evangelism of household habits.

I tend to be somewhat obnoxious about the state my personal, unshared bathroom is left in when there are frequent other users who are not technically belonging to my bathroom but are using it nonetheless (for example, babysitter, child who typically uses the other bathroom). However, if there's someone else using my bathroom, I live and let live; if there's a guest using my bathroom, I live and let live.

...where, of course, I mean by the "others using my bathroom -- live and let live" I mean "others sharing my bathroom on a regular basis, such as roommates who are assigned the same bathroom."
