My floppy drive makes stuttering sounds. This is not a good thing.

This is the first time I'd used it on this install, so I had to install drivers. I cannot remember the last time I used it. It may have been dropped in the interim; I do not know whether or not it had been dropped.

No, not a good sound. I'd sitll suggest that it's better than your data drive sounding like a jet engine (with the same volume). Either way these hardware things need to be taught a lesson...
