i cross my fingers that it is a glitch only, and can be remedied. it sounds much like the noises of the death rattle of Pandora's cd drive..

Fortunately for me, I don't use my floppy drive much at all. I use it when my e-mail's down, pretty much, and I can now e-mail myself bigger things than I can put on a floppy.
