The Hitachi Magic Wand, baby, with the crooked extension. More than a little overwhelming at first, but it never fails.

Possible con: It's pretty damn loud.

Possible con #2: It's electric, not battery-powered. Hence the loud and overwhelming.

I'm looking for electric, in point of fact.

Battery power is nice, but I liiiike more of a, heh, buzz, than you can get out of your standard battery, and the jury-rigged cord for the pink thing is dyyyyyyying.

Might I suggest NiMH batteries? They provide a bit more current than a standard alkaline, and can make something like an iVibe crank pretty well.
(avoids obvious bad Secret of NiMH joke)

Careful with the jury-rigged cords, though. Isolation transformers good, completing the circuit for a leaky ground bad. I like estim as much as the next geek, or maybe a bit more, but unexpected involuntary high-current estim is not such a good thing.

I've got rechargable NiMH batteries, and they're still not entirely to my, heh, satisfaction.

The cord in question is a little wall-wart with tips of different sizes to fit different devices that you've lost the original to, and it is far, far time to upgrade from that.

OTOH, according to a testimonial I've received (I'm utterly unfamiliar with it personally), the volume of the Hitachi Magic Wand itself is not as big a concern as the volume of the user.

Which could be a pro *or* a con, depending.... *g*

Athena's home novelties has a great one, which is basically a souped up version of the Rampant Rabbit Deluxe which they sell in the UK. Unfortunately I've had a poke through their website and I can't find it. I think it might be the Ultratech 3000, but I can't tell from the picture. It's the one where the clit bit's shaped like a hummingbird.

The geekvibe doesn't sound like it would be any fun without proper drivers. Only using the USB port to power it sounds like such a geek cop-out.

It's comparatively inexpensive, and gives great mild and powerful buzzes. (All constant, so if you're fond of mixed massages, you'll have to keep flipping the switch.)

It doesn't have any insertable attachments, so it's pretty much just for external use. Still, it transfers buzz to a silicone dildo nicely.

The best thing is that I despise noise. I can't use battery-operated vibrators because they make too much noise for me to enjoy it. But the Coil is (comparatively) really quiet, especially on the mild setting.
