LD50 is a measurement usually used for medicine or other chemicals, the dosage that is lethal for 50% of the population. Give some lab rats this much straight vodka, and half of them will die.
Usually, LD50 is measured in something like milligrams.
In this case, I'd say that 50% of the population would be killed by a properly applied cast-iron frying pan to the back of the head. (wibbble and I were wondering at the LD50 of Ritalin -- we came up with the concept of a small crate of it dropped on the subject. This was after an IM weirdo.)
He, obviously, would be at the upper range of the tolerant. And LD50 for ingestion and application would probably be different. I think that a Cessna applied to the skin on the back of the skull in the same manner that the frying pan would be applied to the back of the skull -- I think the Cessna would be way over LD50.

Does that mean a cessna is less than a frying pan? Or maybe just less lethal.
Of course, can you really call it an LD50 if it's "applied" rather than "ingested" ? Perhaps you could consider it "absorbed through the skin."
Shutting up now :D
