Dagger makes the rules. We follow them. It's about who we can trust.

Usually when people do stuff, we would let them earn trust back. But bad things kept happening. So Dagger made rules about it when people did stuff that made us not trust them.

The only one she lets earn trust back again is Darkside. She says he's earned the right to earn trust back, because he doesn't do stuff on purpose and is always sorry and tries to put everything back better and picks up after everybody else, too. And he doesn't do bad stuff very much, so he doesn't have to earn trust back, because he doesn't lose it.

It's mostly the goddamn cat that's triggering it this time. Pissing on stuff.

This one was apropos of how I just -- shut down -- on someone within the past week, based on Dagger's rules. They did something very ordinary for a person on the street (but not ordinary for a person around me and my writing) and against their established precedent of being cool with certain kinds of weirdness, so she had us shut down in accordance with breech of trust situations, even though it wasn't really a specific breech of trust.

Darkside hasn't broken anything lately; his presence is one of the things that's kept us halfway sane this morning. I've been able to feel his concern with my nose, even; I've been either actually or phantomly smelling the dryer-sheet/scorch scent of his clean clothes as well as feeling him there through the bond.

Most of the mulitple stuff isn't filtered. While this was partially inspired by a recent incident, it's general enough to be released for public reading.

And no, Dagger is not someone you would want mad at you. Dagger is not someone that anyone really wants mad at them, typically. Dagger has only had to scold Darkside a few times, and both of those times made him get really quiet.

If I ever do something that makes you not trust me, I hope you will let me know that's the case. Even if it's something that can't be mended, it's something that is better to know than to not know. I'm not a perfect person and there are choices I have to make and sometimes I make them poorly, and, you know, I always hope I never do something Unforgiveable, but I'm certain I have to some people and I probably will again in my lifetime.
