Router!

The Dell website still shows my router as "in transit to local carrier".

Local carrier showed up at the door about an hour ago with one box for [livejournal.com profile] marxdarx (eBay stuff), and one box for me (Thalia's router).

I am stoked, because Thalia shipped one day after the router, and should therefore be showing up tomorrow. I think Thalia's coming via UPS, as the router came via UPS, and only the mouse and Norton are explicitly stated as coming via DHL.

DHL == Airborne Express

Dell ships a lot of stuff through Airborne Express, but DHL bought ABX a year ago or so.

I don't think this will affect anything in any way, just FYI.

Well, you can always use it for access to Time and Newsweek and such. It's the only decent reason I know of to use their service.

Call Dell's customer care. tell them you want the tracking number so you can track your item.

If they refuse to give it, tell them to call their representative with DHL to FIND the package.

It may have been a multiple tracking number issue much like what they had with UPS about two months ago.

Just call them and see what happens....and DON'T let them transfer you, and in the future make all your Dell pujrchases off the small business webpage/catalog. If you buy thru small business you get Customer Care and Tech Support in the US, not in India.
