Hooray! I'm done!

The Necromancer's Prayer is done. The rough draft, that is. When December hits, I'll probably go back to the beginning and tear it up and add more things in, but the story has been finished. The narrative thread runs through.

I'm very happy. This is the first time I've ever finished an actual book.

I'm smug. I'm perky. I'm bouncy. I love myself. I love the world. I'm fit to explode. Now I want to tear it all apart and fix the crappy beginning before I let anyone else shred it.

I'm going to be The Cheat. I made the mask last year, and finished it this year (it just needed eyes, a chin, and a bit of yellow cheesecloth to go over the face hole) and there's a huge yellow with black spots on the back raincoat poncho.

*giggle* That reminds me. I keep meaning to tell you: There's a car I see walking Erinn home from school with assorted Republican stickers on the back, and a sticker of Strongbad(!) on the side window. It's always rather a surprise when I see that.

Not until after I've gone through the beginning and torn it up and replaced it with something that holds up to the strength of the rest of the book. I can practically draw a line where it stops being crap and starts being decent writing.
