Community Maintainer Wishlist

In addition to the current ability to make the whole community moderated (moderator must approve post before it is posted by all users unless they have been explicitly granted the ability to post straight through) I would like the ability to, in a largely unmoderated community, selectively turn on moderation for certain (known to be problematical) users.

One could easily get around this, but ... eh. It's a thing, you know?

this was a wonderful aspect of the old elists. it was effectively a way of putting them on probation until they proved they could play nicely.
or at least until they proved they would control their Stupid.

I'd love the ability to not only freeze threads, but freeze posts so that no new comments were allowed.
