Trimming the Playlist

Who would have thought that coming up with a random .mp3 mix CD to represent me to my bondmate would be such a production? I've been going through this whole collection, and out of nearly 2,000 songs, I have selected 36 to very likely go in the mix, and trimmed the list-to-look-at down to a mere 1003. That's half, that's a good job.

I'm not sure when this thing will be ready.

For my "Songs I Love" 2-CD compilation, I chose 32 songs out of 100 to look at. :)

This is a massive "Songs you might not have that I do that sometimes make me think of you or maybe I just like them or maybe I think they'll make you think of me" mp3 collection, or it's going to be.

I've sorted out 42 songs, now, that have made the first set of cuts, and have 850 to go through. Working through, yay...

See, the big number is the songs I still have to review. I'm removing the "absolutely not" from the playlist, so it's cut down to 800-some from the 2000 total. The 42 are the contenders. I expect to get it cut down to some few hundred, and I can order them more sanely after that.

Meanwhile, I'm listening to interesting stuff...
