For the fucking record. WordPerfect vs. HP bug.

For anyone who's frantically Googling around trying to find the answer to that problem with Corel WordPerfect 12 where the font disappears, becomes tiny, small, miniscule, displays as little grey dots, there are size problems displaying fonts, and I'm trying to pack as many Googleable keywords into this in the hopes that it'll help solve your problem, and this problem only showed up after you installed a Hewlett-Packard printer, or, specifically, the HP OfficeJet 6110 printer scanner copier fax machine on your system, especially with Windows XP...

...or even if it's on the same local area network with you...

Even if the bloody drivers are off your system, you still need to go into your control panel and make sure the printer is no longer listed as a system printer before it'll give you your font size back to something normal.

I have no idea why it does this stupid crap, but that's what it took to give me my bloody thing back. Sheesh.

Atleast you haven't been bitten by the 48bit LBA addressing bug...I lost a 200B partition(I posted about it repeatedly on the 14-16 of Dec) to that....though though a total fluke I got it all bacl.

Thank you. I almost lost my mind and considered WP for Windows yet again, even though I thought it was ugly as sin about 5 years ago -- the last time I tried it.

Quietly, I grumbled at why the f'ck they couldn't have made it nice. You know, like the Mac version. And then I remembered that Windows wasn't nice. So I might as well stick to Word. *Smirk*
