Tongue

It's a little ritual.

Figment says something saucy.

I stick my tongue out at him.

"Don't point that thing at me unless you intent to use it," he says.

I hastily reel my tongue back inside my mouth.


It's one of those things. If it weren't that the unmade bond is hovering there, unmakable, I'd poke my tongue out at him even after he said that, and tease him further. As it is, I know that there are some things I can't tease him with, because it wouldn't be teasing, and neither of us is going to go there.

Back at university, I stuck my tongue out at a classmate, whose immediate response was something to the effect of "don't do that unless you're willing to share it.". Last time I did that among that group of people! (Although I did use the line, myself, later!!)

If I were entirely disinclined to use my tongue on this guy, I'd keep sticking my tongue out at him. But I'm afraid if I keep sticking my tongue out at him after he says something like that, that he might actually take me up on it, and I might not be able to cut things off at a sane point after that.

In my case, I quite emphatically did NOT want to share. But I do see your point.

Yes; if the thought turned my stomach, I'd probably keep my tongue to myself after that.

But if I were merely neutral on it, I'd have such a delightful time.
