real friends are there when you need them most, and more often than not, the little things are what they show the most of.
In every little action, in every little thought, a real friend will take measures to make sure that they are always respectful :)
they will never lie to you
they will never betray you
they will always be real to you. (PERIOD is there for a reason)

His best friend all through high school has been his guy-friend Dennis K. They just don't see each other much these days.

I've been reading a bit much Pterry Pratchett at the moment, you see, and then the look of the words together was just too much for the artist's soul that my body occasionally encases.

...so I wasn't sure if he still considered Dennis his best friend, or if I was his best friend now. I've known that I'm a good friend...he has all too few of those.

But to be called best friend... I'm honored.
