Another day, another set of psychotic dreams

I need to start paying more attention to my dreams again. This time, I woke up knowing something -- I have to check in with Figment to make sure I actually know it, vs. just dreaming it, but I'm fairly sure that if this thing's on, then I know it.

I'm at the Willow House, hanging about outside checking my e-mail and getting ready for writing group. 60-odd new messages, not counting the sorted-as-spam. I clearly need my connectivity to manage my social life.

Headed off to writing group now. Maybe I'll be online later.

amberfox, iroshi, shywickedpixie, ralmathon, Darkside (if you read this, which I'm pretty sure you don't, otherwise you'd tell me): prepare for interesting stuff coming from my direction for a while.

Imagine, if you will, that I'm learning how to use all the talents that the group in the desert have. Collectively. And that the group in the desert has suddenly picked up MY talents.

Amber mentioned today that you were giving her headaches or something; I forget what, exactly. But she mentioned this power-up thingie, and was surprised that I didn't know about it. Told her that you'd only been keeping me in the loop on serious bad things, basically, but that I'd check in.

Yeah. Collected a third bondmate. Serious power-up. Think Nita's little sister, only potentially permanently like that. No little spooky. This bond looks like it's going to express itself loudly and intensely for the burn-in period, then should settle down to more platonic stable bond. The hard terms of my year are technically kaput, and I know exactly why: I failed to calculate for other bondmates in that. This tells me that should I take marriage vows, I need to account for other bondmates in that, or I'll be put in a situation where either I violate marriage oaths or my service to the universe.

Oh, and I think I did mention the bit where I noticed that I'm a cleric of Aphrodite?

Nope, didn't mention that. See, I knew about the terms of the year going kaput, and why. I didn't know about the power-up issue. And I certainly didn't know about the Aphrodite linkage. Which makes sense on a multitude of levels, let me tell you.

Just...umm...well, my opinion of her is a bit biased, I think, but don't expect her to be *logical* when she talks to you, m'kay? I'm just thinking that the inner workings of your brain as you have rebuilt it, and the inner workings of her brain will not mesh well, if you think about it too hard. So don't. This is going to be one of those cases where you just go with the flow. Some information you get from her may not process properly. For lack of a better phrasing, she may appear a little crazy. Best reference I can give you is Drusilla, from Buffy tVS, except without the evil. 'Dite isn't *that* crazy, but some of the things she says come out sounding about as wacked out as Dru's rambling...but Dru always knew what she was talking about, if you paid attention.

Again, this may simply be my perception, and the face She chooses to present to me, a daughter of Hawk and servant of Eloihim and the one of many names, one who is clearly *not* Hers, and has no affiliation to Her at all. She may even actively not like me because of my lack of emotion; who knows? Just giving you a heads-up. Because none of what I'm saying is *bad* - if She does sound wacked-out, you still need to listen. It's still *important*. And you might not listen if it doesn't mesh well with the way your brain works, if you're not prepared for it.

I've been Listening to start with, and I've got the sneaking suspicion that She may be the source of most of the wacked-out nonsense that I pull out of my ass that winds up being Right On. So I'm used to listening to that.

And I'm decent at feeling first, and explaining later.
