I feel obscurely responsible, because I am the closest link between the two wanking parties, even though I'm significantly closer to one of them than to the other.

In other news, my default shoulder for social-owwie! moments not directly involving me has changed. This is interesting, and probably more productive than the past shoulder.

Oh, while it was exacarbated by an April Fool, the wank itself is in no way an April Fool. I wish it were. My snark is straining at its leash at the moment, and if I let it loose, I stand to lose a lot more than I gain.

I know I handled that in an utterly crappy manner. Please understand that my commentary was strictly confined to the social and in no way affects my professional opinion of you at work; I'm still perfectly willing and happy to write a letter of recommendation/serve as a work reference whenever you decide to apply for a job outside (or, heck, inside) the sucking pit of hell that we call a workplace. (I'm distinctly un-thrilled with the short-but-not-sweet version of the Dendarii Brewing Company survey, which accounts for a good 90% of my workplace snark at the moment.)
