Skin disorders caused by medications is a mystifying phenomenon. Almost any medication can cause any of a group of skin disorders, including toxic epidermal necrolysis. There are medications that are more prone to certain reactions, but all these reactions are fundamentally idiosyncrastic (except certain variants of phototoxicity and IgE-mediated true allergy).

Anyone whose skin is falling of in large patches should go to a hospital at once.
