I love what Adam and I have... warm, snuggly, awesome, a friendship with a lot of sex and a lot of caring about each other, without pressure to keep together forever, without some of the hassles that marriage takes.
Friendship comes first. We take the time out to be friends before we take the time to be fuckbuddies. That's how it's got to work, to keep a relationship that friendship will keep fresh even after we're not screwing anymore. If we didn't do that, the moment the sex became old or one of us had priorities higher than sex, it would be so over, especially if we'd screwed over the friendship in order to screw each other.
It takes a lot more time than it seems like it takes, honestly. We spend almost every night together. We snuggle together at the computer. We hang out in school between classes. We talk. We communicate. Take the time to figure out what's up, what's eating him, what's right, what's wrong, what's good...
