Actually, it is.
I think this song contains a not-so-subtle reference to "MacArthur Park". A hope to never see that recipe again counts as a mention of "I'll never see that recipe again", right?
I hope it's going to be a good one. It's been a decent one already: good fic, good music, and soon to be good cleaning.

i am happy to have someone else fill this day in my mental calendar. it once belonged to my brother, but because he is an idiot i choose not to list him amongst my living siblings any more. i am very thrilled to have you pop up in mind when i do the "now whose birthdays is in june..." mental scan.
and i am muchly happy that they are trying harder with the cyber-asshats. see, some of the things they do to try and track these things bothers some people... like getting records from ISPs and such. but i would much rather they were doing that then having the asshats be able to hide behind it all any easier than they already do. back when i first started poking around online, i had no expectations of real privacy. some of my friends were hackers (of the much more harmless sort), and i knew what was *possible*.
but, you know, i don't worry about what authorities might find by poking around in my virtual life... i never got in the habit of saying anything i had to be worried about.
personally, just because i would like to know that some things - like my financial transactions - are secure, i would rather have them pushing even harder to uncover more of these asshats. Hel, i think that people who send SPAM in general should be given a minimum sentence at least, and people who send ick-ware of any sort should be given much more. even if it doesn't involve theft. and i am willing to live with the idea that the laws used to do this *theoretically* mean that The Man could get a warrant and poke around at my online doings if they ever had cause. i am sure they will be amused that i have "plausible deniability" listed as an interest.
ok. i am rambling. hopefully some of that made sense, anyways.
oh! and a hypothetical...
how would you react to finding out that someone you knew personally had been involved in the creation and release of any sort of ick-ware?

Made perfect sense to me.
I'd be fucking pissed. How pissed would depend on what sort of ick-ware, how icky, and what their role and motivation was. If a friend had written a virus for the "hmm, bet I can't write something that would do xyzxyz ... hmm!" factor, I'd smack 'em upside the head and recommend they do something more harmless like running a "delete everything" script against IP address 127.0.0.1. (Geek joke.) If it was ends-justify-the-means, I'd have to look a very close look at the ends, and smack 'em around for the means. If it was major malicious ick, I would go supercritical and Naomi and
