Hi. I just joined the community "note_to_cat" and I have no posting access. Does it take awhile, or did I just somehow join incorrectly? I'm sorry if it seems like I am spamming your private journal, but it seems like a decent quesion.

You didn't join the community.

Let me guess: you added it to your friends list? That's not the same as joining. You need to go here (http://www.livejournal.com/community/join.bml?comm=note_to_cat) to actually join the community (this is linked to from the userinfo of the community).

You'll then need to re-login to any LiveJournal clients you have open.

(I also have admin access to the community, so I can definitely confirm that you're not listed as a member, and that membership is not moderated. Also, in future if you have a problem with communities you might do well check check LJ's FAQs on communities and to double-check that you didn't make a mistake.)
