In the middle of me talking about my day (monitored, nothing of note but the Chatty Guy from Utah Hell) -- I have just discovered the the multi-function lower end digital camera that I got back in 2001 works.

I mean, it had worked previously -- as a webcam and a device from which to grab images while it was connected to the computer webcam style.

But previously? I did not have a way to get into the thing's internal memory to delete pictures in memory from memory, and I therefore could not use the thing as a camera.

I have just discovered that Windows XP talks to my camera, and it's read/delete, not read-only.

Pardon me while I proceed to do the happy dance and start to tote the thing around with me. Because. Dude. Digital pictures. Digital pictures + laptop = OTP.

Speaking of which, raranax, I need to e-mail your mom and see if she's gotten around to saving those photos of Grandma's so I can get copies. Because the world (well, LJ, at least) needs to see the "Zodiac Device". (Speaking of Stephenson, The Big U.)

Bwahaha! Digtal cam fun. Oh boy....

I was dangerous when I got my first one. I toted it everywhere and took pictures of everything. Alas, the novelty has worn off. *Snif*

And keep in mind that much of this was without a fully functional digital camera -- in fact, only the last 6 uploaded in the 2005 folder are from the current era.

You make me reaelize I should do more with the fuji I have (that wonderful 4 megapixel one I got for Xmas this year :). I feel like a slacker all of a sudden. ;)

I keep promising Josh that I'll get him a day and night shot of the Anime sword... er... FLW monolith over on Frank Lloyd Wright. Since I live cloer to it now, I've really got to do that. My search online for even souvenier pictures has come up empty. It was the only sight seeing worthy thing I could think of to show Josh while I was here. Mountains and sunsets aside. :)

*giggle* I've got to see that, the description sounds hilarious. And photos of everything are necessary. I want to go back to NY state now and get photos of the campus where I spent the best nine weeks of my teenage years.

I hadn't realized it until just now, but the only actual romantic pairing in The Big U is in fact not heterosexual. There are attempts at a het pairing, but ... well ... no. Heh. Yay main-text!
