I have a four-day weekend, as work is closed the 3rd and 4th, and I'm off the 4th, 5th, and 6th anyway. Yay weekend. figment0 suggests that I share this information with Darkside's mom, should I get to talk to her. (There was not a Darkside in when I called, alas.)

Too many of my comments to ginmar's rants start out "I have a friend." I need to write a piece on this, I think.

For unrelated reasons, I'd briefly looked at some of ginmar's posts earlier tonight.

Obviously I could never respond to anything she said, because I'm a man, and therefor evil, but even if that wasn't a problem, I think I'd be too busy laughing myself silly.

Then I'd stop, and realise that it's rather scary that there's people like that in the world.

Every action has a reaction. Given the state of the States, I'm not entirely surprised at the fact that she exists.

In this case, I don't think it's got anything to do with America - I see people here who aspire to be like ginmar.

There really does appear to be some fundamental attraction to extremist positions. Maybe one day we'll figure out why, which would be the first step towards changing it, which would be the first step towards true equality for all - and perhaps, eventually, even the mythical 'world peace'.
