Note that my glee is short-lived, as "unnaturally colored" hair is not permitted in the workplace. (This is to say, Kool-aid brilliance of color, such as candy-apple red, green, blue, and purple, is frowned upon.) As a supervisory type, I am expected to at least pretend to abide by the rules, as well as enforcing them...

But. Squee. Hair happiness!

Not particularly. There are exemptions for medical and religious reasons, but "I base my religion on looking like my blue-haired and nutty self" probably would not fly.

So silly of your workplace to not allow people to express themselves with the colour of their hair. Here I see (and work with!) people with hair all shades and styles of the rainbow, and nobody frowns on it.
