Look! I decorated my journal for the holidays!

I think everyone who wants a string of blinking lights in their journal for the holidays should have that. I certainly want it!

You want a string of blinking "light"s too? Here!

<span style="background-color:black; color: white"><blink>light light light light light light light</blink></span>

The lights don't blink :( They're just stationary...

That's probably it... I'm just using an ordinary IE.

Amongst other things, Safari doesn't support the blink tag, as it's not in the HTML standard.

Also, combining CSS styling and old-style <font>? Ick. :o) (You could've just done <span style="background-color:black; color:white">, I think.)

It appears that you could also add ' text-decoration: blink; ' in there and do it entirely with CSS. MSIE and Safari still won't actually blink, though.

Safari user, here

I've been blinking really fast myself to cover for the deficiency. Might need more alcohol to achieve a festive color range, however.

Same here. OY. I love how they have it during work hours so you can't blow it off. And by love, I mean "with a crowbar."

I am enamored of flashingblinkylights.com. I must have light-up pens! AND RINGS!!! Where has this admittedly gauche and tacky, but inarguably SHINY, website been all my life?

But really, when you're using the blink tag, isn't having good markup style kind of missing the point? *g*

I don't know - I kind of like the idea of using correct markup to do something as perverse as blinking...
