No Rain

It's been over a hundred days since there was measurable precipitation here in the Valley of the Damned Sun. This is the cool time of the year, so it's not as dreadfully notable as it might be, but it's still not a comfortable weather feeling.

I miss the rain. I'd really like to live in a place that rains. I got some good precipitation while I was visiting Guide Dog Aunt, so I'm not as desperate for it as I could be, but I'd really like to see some rain.

It was all clouded up this morning when I was walking to work. There's something about a cloudy day that cheers me up.

Personally, I could do without the rain itself, or without much of it...but wow did I miss thunderstorms when we went someplace that didn't have them for a year or so.

It's funny, I noted something similar in my journal about a year ago. A friend in PA said I was nuts.

Maybe so, but when you're in a place where there's nothing bot blue sky for months on end, a grey cloudy day is a day for cheering.

I -am- happier on the overcast days around here. Go fig!

Rain?
*points to Seattle*
Much closer to the rainy end of the scale than Arizona.

Oh, well. Someday is something, at least.
Seriously, SF is very nice, though expensive. It's one of the few places in CA I could almost contemplate living.
