This is
only
a test.
raranax
is evil. He's also related to me. These may be connected in some mysterious fashion.
[
This LJ cut is inside a marquee tag. And I'm trying blink now.

... I can't believe I just did that.
Don't do this in your own journals, kiddies.

I miss the days when Safari didn't include support for <marquee>.

Now imagine if I'd used it in all seriousness and for reals.
You've got to do two tags, for great justice, bad html, and getting it to look ok.
<marquee> <lj-cut> </marquee>
Stuff what's behind the cut.
<marquee> </lj-cut> </marquee>
So on the outside it does <marquee>
</marquee> instead of having the whole entry scroll like I did at first.

you put way too much thought into this...and that has to be almost as bad as whatever the hell the tag is to make things flash...

Worse. With the SCROLLAMOUNT tag you can actually use it to make text pretty much unreadable!
... Oh great. Now I'm trying to look up blink tag parameters to see whether it has a SPEED parameter. I really hope not...

You should see the journal entry that is about two paragraphs, entirely enclosed in a <blink> tag.
THAT DOES NOT MAKE THE BIKESHED LOOK GOOD.

Yes. The bikeshed should most emphatically not be painted with the <blink> tag.
(I don't think my browser supports blink, though.)

That'd be kind of interesting, but only if it were slowed down several frames.
(And with the number of opinions on what color it should be, I'd be surprised if it didn't change frequently.) ;P

I wonder if you could apply that same idea to the shape of the bikeshed.
