I'm not getting any until Adam has a chance to see V.

Basically, V. has gotten rather grouchy about my relationship with Adam. It seems that every time she hears that he and I have slept together, she gets all generally hurt-feeling. This is not a fun thing to have happen. So, in order to maintain equity, Adam is not having sex with me until he gets a chance to see her.

Needless to say, this is a bit frustrating on both sides. All three sides.

I have released all the relationship rules I had with Adam, so we can renegotiate later.

...I'm really not comfortable with the situation, but she is his best friend.

Maybe I should too. Girls give me a headache. With my relationship ideas I was definitly born at the wrong time.

*sigh* I'm sure that the only days when a woman could happily keep house and still have time to write and paint, without having to keep a job or raise children, are far far in the depths of my imagination.

I'm not saying I want my wife to stay home and raise kids. I just want a monogamous loving relationship. Is it really that weird?

...I'm not actually sure if it's weird or not. My parents have managed to make one work for 23 years and counting. Votania's got one. Other than that, though, I could point you to no other examples...

...As weird as it sounds, I actually want to have the luxury of staying home and raising kids if I so please. Perhaps I belong to the wrong generation. I wasn't born out of time, though, for technology is my baby...

technology sometimes causes me more ploblems than I like. I want bio-technological-cybernetics though.

Hmm. That would be interesting.

Personally, I'd rather have devices not attached to my body, that I may remove them if need be, rather than having some integral part of my being go wrong.

I figure this. Machines are much easier to fix than biological parts. It would be much more reliable to be a machine.

Reliable, yes, when they're known systems with highly trained users. When you throw new systems, not extensively bugtested, together with halftrained users, that's a recipe for chaotic disaster, especially when wonky biological systems are involved.

Yeah but even "experts" and highly trqianed professionals find it hard if not impossible to fix biological systems.

I suppose the idea I've been trying to express all along is this: 1. Biological systems are hell to fix.
2. Biological systems are worse to figure out.
3. Any machinery working in such intimate and not easily removable contact with any biological system had better be precision-tuned to not fuck it up.
4. Precision-designing machinery to not fuck up the biological system it interacts with, to any degree of certainty, requires an intimate knowledge of the biological system in question.
5. See item 2.

It half-works already; why risk that potential benefit for the potential of something altogether unknown and very possibly worse?

And are nanites sexually transmittable? One would think that they could be...
