In other news, I just requested to add two of my co-workers on MySpace.

... after deleting the direct link to my actual live blog. There's silly, and then there's foolish. Anything involving a live link to a live blog and co-workers might be foolish. If anybody searches me up, then they've found me, but no need to make things easy, eh?

I did that. Years ago, when you searched for my full name, my LJ came up. Not anymore, and since it's locked down now, it's (fairly) safe(r). I couldn't not do it... the thought of most people coming upon my LJ when it was open just by searching for my name terrified me now.

When you search for my name ... my other LJ comes up. The one with my real name on it.

I keep that one as sort of a decoy. It's got real content, just not much personal stuff.

I want friends who know me by my real name to be able to find me on LJ, after all...

Yeah, I know what you mean. I want a way for people to always be able to get ahold of me, seeing as things re: internet are so fluid these days... no one keeps email addresses that long and stuff, and I want a way for people to be able to contact me. :D
