CGI:IRC and this processor do not go well together. It locked up so completely that I had to take the battery out in order to reboot. Alas. But at least I did get to speak with Darkside last night. It seems that seven minutes on the phone with him,and I am all happy and sparkling and ready to go again. From obseerved reaction, he may have a similar thing going on around me.

Know how we've had that "issue" with the experiment?

This is something I just remembered from El WiP O' Doom, which you can easily hijack as I can work around.

Magickal Herbs - Fireflower (straight out of Chronicles Of Narnia, yo), can only be harvested at midnight on Summer Solstice.

Malkina, however, can only be *planted* after Christmas.

This can be worked in, yes?

Sorry I haven't seen you on IRC, work has over here at the Floo Network Maintenance has been OMG INSANE. Just the other day, I accidentally disconnected the entirety of the British Wizarding Population.

OMG perfect! And I have not actually been on IRC much, as Allegra does not work well with it. It wound up making Firefox go crashie, so I haven't been back since that one time.

I had to have Allegra-D, which of course made me jittery as all buggeryfuck. I now use a nose spray (which of course makes me groggy...)

Are you not coming back (to IRC) for a while?

In this case, Allegra is the backup laptop, the tiny little thing that I bought used from

dduane (which occasioned quite a bit of squeeing!) -- new in 1999, 2gig hard drive, and enough processor that my DSL acts like dial-up.

That last is a problem vs. CGI:IRC, so I probably will have to stay away until Thalia, my regular laptop with the HD problem that the BOfD are fixing, returns.

I shipped her off on Wednesday, and it's just a HD replacement, so she should be returning Any Day Now.

Ah, cool.

and, re: the Floo Network accident: Ow, hope no late travelers got splinched! (One wouldn't exactly splinch, though, in the Floo... get hopelessly lost and wind up in Iceland?)

Well, apparently this was a hitherto unknown to me expansion of the network, and not yet in use. Which is good, as I'd probably have lost my bloody job, otherwise.

Indeed. Of course, if the new connections had BEEN LABELLED...

But nevermind that.

The ink arrived.

Yeah. I'd go tomorrow, but I have a lunch date. Oh blast, that reminds me. I have stuff to do for that. *sigh*
