I layer my mind in interesting ways. Half the time I'm not aware of the connections I'm making, lately. This is not a good thing. Where has my mind gone?
I need to drag out some of the old, I mean really old, volumes of my paper journal and take a look at what I used to think, how I used to think, what I used to read. I need to write down all of the books I read again, so I can remember what they are for future reference.
Lately, I've read some Diana Wynne Jones: Howl's Moving Castle, Castle in the Air, and the four volumes of the Chestromanci. Star Trek: New Earth, 1-4. Star Trek: Gateways, 1 & 3.

Mmm, Diana Wynne Jones.
Re: Mmm, Diana Wynne Jones.
Mercedes Lackey and Anne McCaffrey were useful in programming my mind to where it is now, but I view them as more of an intermediate step between "the good stuff" and Little House In The Big Woods than an end in and of themselves. Do check out PartnerShip and the books about Sassinak, though...
