Quiet Geek Super is moving on -- a chip fabrication job landed in his lap and he took it. It's with a startup, so he's getting in on the ground floor. Sweet.
This makes me the geekiest regular bullpen person, by attrition. Comic Pirate Super is geekier, but he's not out here as much. Obso1337 Super is more than a few years out of date. Homie G. and Not-So-Nice Supervisors try, but they're not particularly geek by vocation. Groucho Marx Glasses Guy is in-training, and is very cute, but is not quite Geek yet, though he may well have the vocation for it.
Though Plaid Geek is out here quite a lot.
Called the Darkside. He was headachey and not up for conversation. Alas. Updated him on greetings from Sis and Dawn and all. There was some private snickering and eye-rolling over one of the items of interest.
It's coming up on a three-week genuine-communications gap for us, just through bad timing last week and this week. Four days of bad timing shouldn't equal three weeks without good communications, but that's what happens. I've learned to live with it, if not like it.
There has to be some sort of logical spark that differentiates the "good friend that I shall never want to lose, not ever" from the "person I shall want to spend the rest of my life with". It passed that over a year ago, with me.

If love was logical, we'd have multiple words for it and accurate tests and less poetry.

My workplace is almost always good for random insane notes, because it is a random insane workplace.

I went there, hung out, collected books, came back homewards, refueled, stopped in at SAS, came home, hung curtains, scrubbed the bathroom sink (I think), did some dishes, chilled, and read.
None of this involved working or posting.
Oh, and I did LJ support volunteer stuff, too.
